Wilma Diane Hickox

Waycross – Wilma "Diane" Grimes Hickox, 71, of Waycross passed away early Thursday morning (November 20, 2025) at her residence after an extended illness.

Born in Jacksonville, FL her parents were William Morris Grimes and Dora Marie Hightower Crews. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bobby” Gibson Hickox, Jr.; her maternal grandparents, Ora & Lee Hightower; her paternal grandparents, Ethel & William Grimes; 2 sisters, Patricia Lee Stephens and Betty Ruth Braswell; and a brother, William Elton Grimes.

Diane was a homemaker, who loved spending time with her family. She loved reading, watching sports and was a collector of many things.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Bud Hickox (Rebecca) of Waycross; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Katrina Driggers (Brad) of Waycross and Denise Parker (Phil) of Venice, FL; 3 grandchildren, Jakob Huggins (Gracey), Harlee Driggers and Ridge Driggers; 2 brothers-in-law, Smitty Stephens and Ray Braswell; and a sister-in-law, Brenda Herrin (Joe); and also several other relatives and a host of friends.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, (December 6, 2025) at 1pm at Bud and Rebecca Hickox’s residence, 2545 State St. Waycross, GA 31503.
