Wanda Jacobs Smith

Jesup- Wanda Jacobs Smith, 82 of Jesup passed away peacefully early Sunday morning (January 11, 2026) at Harborview Health Systems of Jesup. Wanda was born January 20, 1943 to the late Joseph Lindsey “Peck” Jacobs and Laverne Swearingen Jacobs. She is also preceded in death by her two children Lisa Smith Crews & Phillip Prescott. Two sisters Betty Jacobs Wilson and Helen Jacobs Wainright , one brother Ronnie Jacobs. Wanda was a homemaker all of her life and dedicated her life to raising her grandchildren. Ms.Smith is survived by one sister Phyllis Jacobs May of Jesup & niece Miranda Horne (Ashley) of Bristol. That were her caretakers the last year alongside the staff of Harborview Health Systems. She is also survived by three grandchildren Kyler Hayes, Montana Crews & Kason Hayes of Hortense. One great grandchild, Lakelynn Crews of Hortense. One brother J.L Jacobs Memorilization will be by cremation.
