Wade Henry Howard

Nahunta – Wade Henry Howard, 66, of Nahunta passed away Friday morning (November 27, 2020) at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick after an extended illness.

Born in Savannah, GA his parents were Conway Howard and Arline Dickerson Howard. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Glenda Willis.

Wade was the owner/operator of Howard and Sons Trucking and Nahunta Body Shop. He was a member of Hickox Baptist Church, and graduated in 1972 from Brantley County High School.

Wade enjoyed joking around and really had a passion for camping and the outdoors. He loved his Sunday School Class and the fellowship.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby Wainright Howard of Nahunta; 3-sons, Ashley Wade Howard, of Savannah, Randall Jesse Howard, of Nahunta, Steven Conway Howard wife- Cassie Howard, of Nahunta, a very special friend, Joseph Stewart, of Nahunta, 2-brothers and sisters-in-law, Read Carter (Linda), Tom Howard (Bonnie) , both of Nahunta, 2-sisters and a brother-in-law, Marty Morgan, of Nahunta and Tootie Lee (William) of Nahunta, 2-grandchildren, Cadence Howard and Memphis Stewart, also several nieces, nephews and other relatives and a host of friends.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the family asked that you follow the rules for social distancing. Also, if anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the services, the family understands and ask you to be in prayer for our loved ones.

Funeral services for Mr. Howard will be held Tuesday morning (Dec.1,2020) at 11 AM from The Hickox Baptist Church with Rev. Jamie Giddens and Rev. Mike Hendrix officiating.

Visitation will be held 1 hour prior the service at the church.

Pallbearers will be Darren Crews, Andy Willis, Daniel Batten, Matt O’Berry, Jarrett Johns and Justin Johns.

Honorary Pallbearers are Paul Barker, Larry Johns, Billy Rowell, G.W.Knox, Joe Lake, Glen Lee, Allan Brooks and David Sirmans.

Burial will be in The New Hope Cemetery, Hickox.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta, GA.
