Vickie Sue Riggins Chesser

Raybon – Vickie Sue Riggins Chesser, 64, of Raybon passed away early Friday morning (July 14, 2017) at her daughter’s residence after an extended illness.

Born in Folkston, GA her parents were Clayton P. Riggins & Doris Lewis Riggins Fowler.

Vickie was a registered nurse and a member of Southside Baptist Church. She also loved going to the beach, puzzles, and crocheting.

Survivors include her 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Stephania and Michael Strickland of Raybon and Amanda & Josh Ammons of Hoboken; 6 grandchildren, Kaela Horne, Skyler Horne, Grayson Horne, Jonathon Ammons, Jacob Ammons, and Jeremy Ammons; 3 sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda & John Jones of St. Simons, Gail Herrin of Raybon and Sandra & Dave Schmitt of Midway; and also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be held Saturday evening (July 15, 2017) starting at 6PM at Southside Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be held Sunday morning (July 16, 2017) at 11am at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Johns and Rev. Charles Florey officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Southside Baptist Church Youth at P.O. Box 1063 Nahunta, GA 31553.
