Vera Davis Beasley

Hortense – Vera Davis Beasley, 87, of Hortense passed away Saturday (July 23, 2022) at Bayview Nursing Home in Nahunta following an extended illness.
Born in Brunswick, GA her parents were Silas Davis and Mary Register Davis . She is also preceded in death by a daughter, Vera Alethia Beasley; 3 siblings, Lucille Thrower, Rufus Davis, and Maggie Woodcock (Marvin).
Vera was a homemaker and a member of the Atkinson Church of God of Prophecy. She loved ministering with her husband and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed drinking her cokes.
Survivors include her husband, Rev. W.C. Beasley of Hortense; daughter and son-in-law, Amy Beasley Flowers (Chris) of Hortense; 3 grandchildren, Chad McDaniel (Jenn), Jeanna Tucker, Kelli Evans (Brandon); 4 great grandchildren, Kirstin Bush (Michael), Abby Tucker, and Emory Tucker, and Lincoln Evans; 1 great great grandchild, Miley Bush; also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held Tuesday evening (July 26, 2022) from 6pm-8pm at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday morning (July 27, 2022) at 11AM at the chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Boyd, Rev. Harold Hand, and Brandon Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Hortense Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joey Manning, Roger Sloan, James Holland, Juke Johns, Curtis Tompkins, and Kevin Lane. Honorary pallbearers will be The Staff at Bayview Nursing Home.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
