Tracy Lee Herrin

Waynesville – Tracy Lee Herrin, 57, of Waynesville passed away Monday evening (September 18, 2023) after a brief illness.

Born in Folkston, GA his parents are Delores Cross Kennedy of Atkinson and the late Perry Lee Herrin. He is also preceded in death by a brother, George Herrin.

Talented mechanic, fabricator and carpenter. His hobbies were looking for arrowheads, fishing, flounder gigging and hunting. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and visiting with family and friends.

Survivors include 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Joshua Herrin (Amanda) of Thomaston and Jacob Herrin of Waynesville; a daughter and son-in-law, Selita Lynn (Zachary) of Waynesville; 10 grandchildren and 2 on the way, Ava, Grant, Hayden, Ella, Cade, Hunter, Destin, Xoiey, Berklee, and Rainie; his mother & stepfather, Delores Kennedy (Charles R.) of Atkinson; his significant other, Julia Rowell Herrin of Waynesville; 5 step children, Marie Knecht (Corey) of Tampa, FL, Bryan Cox (Amanda)  of Lulaton, Dalton Rowell (Daisy) of Nahunta, Kimberlynn Rowell (Zack) and Dylan Rowell (Linzee) all of Waynesville; a brother, Allen Herrin of Brunswick; 3 sisters and brothers-in-law, Phyllis Waters (Jeffrey) of Brunswick, Maggie Jean Ammons (Robert) of Waynesville and Sylvia Carver (Casey) of Waycross; 4 step siblings, Pamela Kennedy (Frankie) of Jasper, AL, Sherri Hood (Clint) of Dublin, Carolyn Lawson (Tony) of Sapulpa, OK and William Kennedy of Waverly; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening (September 21, 2023) from 6pm – 8pm at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

A funeral service will be held Friday morning (September 22, 2023) at 11am at the chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Bro. Jeffrey Waters officiating.

Pallbearers will be Mike Johnson, Dalton Rowell, Dylan Rowell, Jacob Herrin, Bryan Cox, Grady Bawkin, Gordy Shaw, and Zachary Lynn.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
