Nahunta

Nahunta- Tony Marvin Johns, 66 of Nahunta, passed away Monday (May 19, 2025) at his residence following a brief illness.

Born in Nahunta, GA., his parents were Carlys Everett Johns and Sarah Leona Chesser Johns. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Crews Johns; and his sister, Joan Crews.

Tony was of the Christian Faith. He enjoyed fishing and worked many years as a boilermaker.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Tony Scoville (Sabrina), of Middleburg, FL., Devin Johns, of Nahunta; several grandchildren, three brothers and sisters-in-law, Curtis Johns (Connie), of Nahunta, Mikel Johns, of Nahunta, and Ronnie Johns (Brenda), of Hickox; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Lucy Southers, of Watkinsville, GA and Judy Hendrix (John), of Waycross; brother-in-law, Burnice Crews, of Hoboken. Also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Graveside services will be held Friday (May 23, 2025) at 2PM at Hoboken City Cemetery. Visitation will be held thirty minutes prior to the service.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
