Timothy 'Tim' Burkhead,Sr.

Hortense-Mr. Timothy “Tim” Burkhead, Sr., 76, of Hortense passed away Friday (Dec. 25,2020) at his residence after an extended illness.

Born in Greensburg, Indiana his parents were Clyde Raymond Burkhead, Sr. and Mary Jane Swegman Burkhead. He was also preceded by a brother, Jeffrey Burkhead.

Tim was a member at Lulaton Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was an avid Bass fisherman and loved to hunt and go horseback riding. Before his retirement he had worked as a Millwright with Koch Cellous.

Mr. Tim served his Country in The United States Navy.

Survived by his loving wife of 35 yrs., Linda Males Burkhead of Hortense; 2 sons, Timothy Burkhead, JR., of Darien, GA., and Timothy Jay Ruble of Hope, Indiana; 2 grandchildren and their spouses, Katherine Frazier (John) of Hope, Indiana; and Christopher Jay Ruble (“Fiancé” Brook Fear) of Hope, Indiana; 8 great grandchildren; 2 brothers and a sister-in-law, Clyde Burkhead, JR. (Barbara) of Greensburg, Indiana, and Steven Burkhead of New Smyrna Beach, FL. , 3 sisters and their spouses, Anna Jo Patton of North Wilkesboro, N.C.; Treva Sue Lenord (Robert) of Indianapolis, Indiana; and Debra Greer (Jim) Greensburg, Indiana; Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. And a host of friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
