Thomas Scott Strickland

Hickox- Thomas “Scott” Strickland, 42 of Hickox, passed away Tuesday (October 26, 2021) at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick, following an extended illness.
Born in Jacksonville, FL., his parents are Richard Thomas Strickland, of Hortense and Sabrina Maddox Flowers, of Hickox. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, and several uncles and cousins.
Scott was a member of Lulaton Baptist Church and worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Southern Ionics. He enjoyed hunting, being at the river and loved Georgia Football. He never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Alicia Thompson Strickland, of Hickox; three children, Jakob Strickland, Gracie Strickland, and Chelsy Strickland, all of Hickox; his father and step mother, Richard Thomas Strickland (Karen), of Hortense; his mother and step father, Sabrina Maddox Flowers (Abe), of Hickox; two brothers and sisters-in-law, James Flowers (Lea), of Blackshear, Christopher Gore (Angie), of Hortense; two sisters, Mandy Lyons, of Hickox, and Jerri Lynn O’Neal, of Blackshear. Also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held Friday evening (October 29, 2021) from 6PM-9PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday (October 30, 2021) at 11AM at Frye Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Foreman officiating.
Burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jakob Strickland, Perry Young, Will Johns, James Flowers, Gary Monroe, Gary Wainright, & Stetson Vaughn.
Due to COVID-19, we would like to ask all to please follow the rules for social distancing, also face mask are highly recommended at the service. Anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the service the family would like you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
