Waynesville-Thomas George Strickland, 40, of Waynesville passed away Sunday (April 4, 2021) at Southeast Ga. Health Systems in Brunswick, GA. following a brief illness.
Born in Brunswick, GA his parents were Thomas “Tommy” Melvin Strickland and Ingrid “Ivy” Lane Sullivan. He is also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, George & Betty Strickland; maternal grandparents, Emory Lane and Phyllis Newberry.
Thomas was employed by Paulk Timber as an equipment operator and was of the Church of God faith. He loved fishing and was an outdoors sportsman.
Survivors include his grandparent, Jo Arbogast of Ga; 1 niece, Chynna Lane; 1 nephew, Frank Lane, Jr.; 1 great niece, Bryleigh Lane all of Ga.; 1 brother and sister-in-law, Frankie Lane (Jill) of TN; 1 sister, Amanda Lane of GA., also many aunts, uncles, and cousins and a host of friends.
Due to the CPVID-19, we would like to ask all to please follow the rules for social distancing and face mask, are highly recommended at the service. Also, anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the services the family would like for you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
A graveside service will be held Thursday (April 8, 2021) at 11 AM at Homeward Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Gill officiating. Visitation will be held thirty minutes prior to the service starting at 10:30 AM.
Pallbearers will be Frank Lane, Jr., James Brazier, Alan Dasher, Larry Dasher, Frankie Lane, and Amanda Lane.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
