Thomas E. Screws

Thomas E. Screws, 66 of Waynesville, passed away Thursday (July 25, 2019) at his residence.

Born in Yokohoma, Japan. His parents were George E. Screws and Maude V. Hodges Screws. He was also preceded in death by his brother, George A. Screws.

Thomas was a 1st Class Sergeant retired from the United States Army, and avid woodworker. He loved the Georgia Bulldogs and Nascar.

Survivors include his daughter, April Cowart, of Meldrim, GA; two granddaughters, Alyssa Staecker and Ashley Cowart; his brother and sister-in-law, Richard E. Screws (Tammy), of Ludowici; and his sister and brother-in-law, Patricia A. Coleson (Harold), of Guyton, GA.

A memorial service will be held Saturday (August 10, 2019) at 11AM at Hodges/Crosby Cemetery; Turkey Branch Rd. Springfield, GA.
