Mr. Terry Alton Prescott,64, of Nahunta passed away Friday evening (Jan. 22, 2021) in The Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup after an extended illness.
Born in Brunswick, GA. His parents are the late Norman Alton Prescott and Marjorie J. Davis Prescott, of Nahunta. Along with his father he was also preceded by his brother Merrell Joey Prescott also his father-in-law, T.M. Purvis.
A member of The Bachlott Church of God. He served in The United States Air Force. He had a passion for helping those that had addictions.
He also enjoyed horses, racing, wrestling, motorcycles, Georgia Bulldogs and playing cards. But his best enjoyment came from spending time and playing with his grandchildren.
Survived by his mother, Marjorie Davis Prescott, of Nahunta, son Alton Keith Prescott, of Nahunta, daughter and son-in-law, Krystal and Chris Coger, of Hortense, grandchildren, Norman,Michael, Brianna, Talyn, Carson, Tristen and Kandice, 1-Great grandchild, Emmitt, a sister and brother-in-law, Norma Jean Aspinwall (Rev. Donnie) of Nahunta, also, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held 6-8PM Wednesday at Frye Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be Thursday (Jan. 28, 2021) at 3PM from the chapel of Frye Funeral Home in Nahunta with Rev. Trey Keene and Rev. Ken Pauley officiating.
Burial will follow in The Bachlott Cemetery.
Honorary Pallbearers will be AA family, Glen Hendricks, Tony Chasteen, Lamar Chasteen, Bennie Cox, and Dr. Mitchell Jones.
Pallbearers are Dr. Tom Brooks, Ron Strickland, Robbie Cleland, C.J. Prescott, Andy Johns and Michael Prescott.
Due to the COVID-19, we would like to ask all to please follow the rules for social distancing and face mask are highly recommended at the service. Also, anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the services the family would like for you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
