Steve Edward Maxwell

Hortense- Steve Edward Maxwell, 61 of Hortense, passed away Thursday (September 11, 2025) at his residence following a brief illness.

Born in Brunswick, GA., his parents were Charles Edward Maxwell and Sylvia Winslett Maxwell.

Steve was of the Christian Faith and worked over twenty years as a welder. He loved fishing, hunting, race cars, and being an Artist. He could paint almost anything and when he wasn’t working on his truck, he was probably painting something.

Survivors include his stepmother, Sara Maxwell; three sisters, Janet Miller, Barbara Rains, and Kimberly Maxwell; nephews, Tyler Miller (Reagan), Austin Miller (Alex); great nephews, Rhett Miller, Walon Miller, and Weston Miller; and great niece, Adalyn Miller.

No services will be held at this time.
