Shirley May Carpenter Croteau

Hortense- Shirlely May Carpenter Croteau, died early Sunday morning (March 25, 2012) at South East Georgia Health System, in Brunswick, GA., following a brief illness. Born in Bridgeport, CT., she was the daughter of the late George and Ruth Knight Carpenter, SR. She is also preceded by a sister, Ruth Carpenter and a brother, George Carpenter, JR. Shirley was a manager for Cumberland Farms and a member of Lordship Community Church. She also was a member of P4C in Bridgeport. She loved boating and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her loving husband of 20 years, Albert Croteau, of Hortense; 8 Children and their spouse; Karen and Rich Puskas of Alpharetta, GA. ; John and Cheryl Beresky of Shelton, CT. ; Beverly and John Andrews of New Orleans, LA.; Gail Thompson of Glendale, Az.; Laurie Francour of Milford, CT. ; Diana and Jack Ohlin of Snellville, GA. ; Albert and Sarah Croteau of Milford, CT. ; and Margo Creteau of Stanford, CT. ; 17 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren; and also several Nieces, Nephews, and other relatives. A visitation will be held Wednesday afternoon (March 28, 2012) from 2 PM to 4 PM at Frye Funeral Home , Nahunta. Memorialization is by cremation. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral, of Nahunta.
