Shelton "Sammy" Kirby O"Berry

Round O, S.C.- Mr. Shelton “Sammy” Kirby O’Berry, 79, of Round O, South Carolina passed away Friday (Apr. 1, 2022) at his residence after an extended illness.
Born in Hortense, GA., his parents were John Henry O’Berry and Ina Loper O’Berry. Sammy was also preceded by his wife, Elaine Grace Myers O’Berry, 4 brothers, Harold O’Berry, William “Pete” O’Berry, Wayne O’Berry, Johnnie “Bebe” O’Berry, 1 sister, Darlene O’Berry Driggers, 2 brothers-in-law, Robert Huey Driggers and William “Billy” Flowers.
Sammy was a welder with Union Boilermakers and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, doing mechanic work and he was good at it.
Sammy is survived by 2 sons, Jamie O’Berry of Raybon , and Lee O’Berry of Lulaton, 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Deloris Peek (Joshua) of Florence, S.C., and Cynthia Allsbrooks (Charles) of Augusta, GA., 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, 1 sister, Donna Flowers of Round O, S.C., 2 nephews, Joseph Flowers and Josh Flowers, 1 sister-in-law, Betty Jacobs O’Berry. Also, several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. And a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday (April 4, 2022) at 2 PM at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Wainright officiating.
Burial will follow in Hortense Cemetery.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
Serving as pallbearers will be friends and family.
