Nahunta – Sarah Jane Strickland Thibodeaux, 73, of Nahunta passed away Saturday afternoon (August 18, 2018) at Bayview Nursing Home after an extended illness.

Born in Nahunta, GA her parents were Harrell Addison and Renna Purdom Strickland. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Lewis Addison Strickland.

Sarah was a retired data entry clerk for AT&T and a member of Glyndale Baptist Church in Brunswick. She was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan who loved animals, music and scrapbooking.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tony & Louise Henrique of Raybon; a granddaughter and her spouse, Heather & Elvin Woods of Brunswick; a great grandson, Troy Woods of Brunswick; 3 step children, Jamie August, Daniel Thibodeaux, and Kathy Summerall; 6 step grandchildren, Maci & Logan Thomas, Logan Thibodeaux, Jill Summerall, Jenny & Michael Charleston, Erin & Michael Scheppers, & Wyatt Summerall; 4 step great grandchildren, Harper Thomas, Cohen Thomas, Claire Herrington, and Elias Charleston; and also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be held Monday evening (August 20, 2018) from 5pm-7pm at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday morning (August 21, 2018) at 11am at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Pastor Elvin Woods, Pastor Paul Roberson, and Pastor Ken Creekmore officiating. Burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be William Bradham, Rusty Howard, C.R. Lynn, Bruce Kennedy, Bud Coffman, and Jordan Cumbest.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
