Waynesville – Roy Michael Sapp, 23, of Waynesville passed away Friday (April 4, 2025) at St. Joseph’s Candler Hospital in Savannah after a brief illness.
Born in Jesup, GA his parents are Michael Sapp and Sarah Rooks Sapp of Waynesville. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Judy and Johnny Rooks; and his paternal grandparents, Howard & Maryann Sapp and Frances L. Hall.
Roy graduated Brantley County High School with the class of 2020 and loved making noise and watching cartoons.
Survivors include his parents, Michael & Sarah Sapp of Waynesville; sister, Julie Sapp of Waynesville; paternal grandparents, Alex & Frances Hall of Brunswick; several aunts and uncles, Nicole Miller of Warner Robins, Ann Asbell of Waynesville, Debbie Manning (Wayne, Jr.) of Jesup, Adam Sapp and Jody Sapp both of Nahunta; several cousins, Trey Manning, Alex Manning both of Jesup, Kylan Miller of Warner Robins, Landyn Asbell and Maebree Asbell both of Waynesville; and also several other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held Tuesday evening (April 8, 2025) from 6pm-8pm at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday (April 9, 2025) at 11am at the chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Manning, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Trey Manning, Richard Johns, Jackie Legear, Alex Manning, Chad Miller and Wyatt Blount.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
