Roy Albert Dampier

Hortense-Roy Albert Dampier, 83, of Hortense passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026, at his residence after an extended illness.

Born in Homerville, Ga to the late Talmage Dampier and Lois Taylor Dampier. He is also preceded in death by a daughter Lisa Dampier; a sister Judy Dampier; two brothers Danny and Randy Dampier.

Roy was an expert carpenter, loved his family and his cats and loved football. He was an avid Ga Bulldog fan. He will be deeply missed by his family and all those who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his children Pam Creamer, Heidi Shedd, Jonathan Dampier and Billie Hartman; ten grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
