Ronnie Joseph Strickland

Hortense – Ronnie Joseph Strickland, 63, of Hortense passed away Monday evening (March 11, 2024) at Southeast Georgia Health System after a brief illness.

Born in Brunswick, GA his parents were Connie Strickland and Leola Kemp Strickland.

Ronnie was a mechanic for Rowell Construction and loved hunting, fishing and going to races.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Strickland of Boiling Springs, SC; a daughter, Patsy Strickland (Matthew) of Waycross; 2 step daughters, April Bennett of Jesup and Ashley Harrison of Boiling Springs, SC; 8 grandchildren, Sara, Savannah, Mattie, Mason, Hannah, Carter, Carson, and Remi; a brother, John Strickland of Swainsboro; a sister and brother-in-law, Brenda Jacobs (Roy) of Hortense; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held thirty minutes prior to the service on Thursday (March 14, 2024) at the Satilla Cemetery.

A graveside service will be held Thursday morning (March 14, 2024) at 11am at Satilla Cemetery with Rev. John Strickland officiating.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
