Waynesville – “Rocky” Guy Dixon, 65, of Waynesville, passed away Thursday (November 28, 2025) at UF Health in Jacksonville, Fl.
Born in Jacksonville, FL., his parents were Willie Dixon and Catherine Kimbrell Middleton. He is also preceded in death by 2 brothers, David Dixon and Mikey Dixon.
Rocky was of the Christian faith. He was self-employed with Dixon Painting. He loved hunting, fishing, painting and spending time with his grandbabies. He loved Nascar and his biggest fan was Dale Earnhardt.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry Skipper Dixon of Waynesville; 2 daughters and a sons-in-law, Marci Dixon (Colby Driggers) of Brooksville, FL. and Kaylee Edgy (Darrell) of Waynesville; a son Ross Edgy of Waynesville; 5 grandchildren, Marly Dixon, Levi Driggers, Emma Driggers, Kason Edgy, and Daxton Nissen; 3 great grandchildren, Kyah Dixon, Dallas Driggers, and Lane Driggers; 2 brothers and a sister-in-law, Bobby Dixon of Waynesville and Larry Dixon (Linda) of Callahan, FL.; 2 sisters and brother-in-law, Cathy Lewis (Donald) of Lulaton and Susan Dixon of Callahan, FL; also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday (December 3, 2025) from 6-8 PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday (December 4, 2025) at 11 AM at the chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Bishop Raymond Willis, Bro. Steve Roberson and Rev. David Farrior officiating.
Burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Barnes, John Dixon, Justin Dixon, Brandon Thornton, Allen Thornton, Larry “Taz” Dixon, and Clifford Steedley.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
