Robert W. Howe

Thalmann- Robert Wade Howe, 77 of Thalmann, passed away Sunday morning (December 3, 2017) at his residence following a brief illness.

Born in Thalmann, GA., his parents were Wade Hampton Howe and Ella Virginia Blount Howe McLean. He was also preceded in death by his son-in-law, Larry Clark; and his step father, Mac McLean.

Robert was a member of Glynn Baptist Church in Thalmann. He worked many years as a Supervisor for Glynn County Public Works before retiring. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, riding golf carts, train history of railroad, and loved the outdoors.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Melissia Chesser Howe, of Thalmann; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Cindy Howard (Aaron), of Thalmann, and Sherri Clark, also of Thalmann; 3 grandchildren, Davey Howard (Alicia), Josh Clark (Victoria), of Hazelhurst, Robby Clark (Taylor), of Pennsylvania; 3 great grandchildren, Bryce Clark, Riley Howard, and River Howard; 3 sisters and brothers-in-law, Frances Herndon (James), of Thalmann, Shirley Williamson (Rev. Wayne), of Baxley, and Linda Joiner (Mickey), of Thalmann. Also several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

A private family Graveside Service will be held Wednesday (December 6, 2017) at 11AM at Blounts Crossing Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Williamson officiating.

Pallbearers will be his grandson’s and nephews, Davey Howard, Josh Clark, Robby Clark, Randy Herndon, Bubba Williamson, and Lamar Joiner.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Kit McLean, Brad Joiner, Steven Chesser, Ryan Chesser, Dr. Astor Lim and Staff, Dr. Antonio Moran and Staff, Dr. Matthew Certain and Staff, and Dr. Hartnett and Myers and Staff.

Family and pallbearers are asked to meet at the Cemetery Wednesday by 10:30AM.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
