Robert Cory Griffin

Hoboken – Robert “Cory” Griffin, 37, of Hoboken passed away Wednesday morning (April 16,2025) at his residence surrounded by his family after a long courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Brunswick, GA his parents are Cathy Diane Bercaw Griffin and the late Robert Stanley Griffin.

Cory was a firefighter for the Georgia Forestry and served in the United States Marine Corps. He loved the swamp and going fishing but most of all loved being with his boys.

Survivors include his 2 sons, Kane Griffin and Kye Griffin both of Hoboken; wife, Kelly Griffin of Hoboken; his mother, Cathy Griffin of Hoboken; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Becka Whisenant (DeWayne) and Sheila Creech (Timmy) all of Hoboken; 2 brothers, Kevis Griffin of Brunswick and Chris Davis of Nahunta; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Saturday (April 19, 2025) starting at 10am at Frye Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held Saturday morning (April 19, 2025) at 11am at the chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Flanagan and Rev. Chad Stanley officiating. Burial will follow in High Bluff Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Griffin, Brad Manning, Kevis Griffin, Ivan Daniels, Harmon Creech and Lucas Shackleford.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
