Mr. Robert Carroll Waters,81,of the Raybon Community died Tuesday evening (Dec. 23, 2008) in the GraceMore Nursing and Rehabilitation in Brunswick after a long illness. Born in Appling County Georgia he was the son of Carl and Kate Deen Waters. A member at the Twin Rivers Baptist Church, Mr. Waters also served his Country in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Masons, past member of Nahunta Lions Club, The Marshes of Glynn O.E.S. and enjoyed farming and camping. Retired from Hercules in Brunswick where he worked as a Millwright Foreman. He was preceded in death by his Parents, and Numerous other Family Members. Survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Loretta "Ret" Waters, of Raybon, a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Betty Waters, of Brunswick, GA, 2- Daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Bill Hunton, of Savannah, GA and Wanda Ann and Fred Carlo, of Barney, GA., 2-Grandchildren, Jessie and Evan Bius, of Barney, GA., 3-stepsons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Connie Hughes, of Northwood, Ohio, David and Karolee Hughes, of Fortson, GA. And Steven and Marian McClain, of Alexander, VA., a step-daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Ed Lanier, of Brunswick, 7-step grandchildren 3-step great-grandchildren, a sister and brother-in-law, Jeanette and Donald Courson, of Waycross, GA and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be Friday evening (Dec. 26, 2008) from 6-8PM at the Funeral Home. Services will be Saturday morning (Dec. 27, 2008) at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home (Formerly Chambless-Frye), in Nahunta, with Rev. Tim Rowell and Rev. Terry Jackson officiating. Pallbearers will be Caleb Hughes, Donnie Newcomer, Chris Gallops, Brad Simpson, Larry Waters and David Hughes. Burial will be at 2:00 PM Saturday (Dec. 27, 2008) in the Palmetto Cemetery in Brunswick, GA. Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at www.fryefh.com.
