Robert "Bobby" Earl Turner

Nahunta – Robert “Bobby” Earl Turner, 66, of Nahunta passed away Tuesday morning (December 26, 2023) at his residence after an extended illness.

Born in Falls River, MA his parents were George Paul Turner, Jr. and Autsy Smith Turner. He his also preceded in death by 2 brothers, John Burton Turner and Gregory Paul Turner.

Bobby was a heavy equipment operator for Brantley County. He loved his grandbabies, watching t.v., and NASCAR, especially Dale Earnardt.

Survivors include his wife, Christine Turner of Nahunta; 2 sons, Robert Derek Turner of Brunswick and Timothy Chorba of Hortense; a daughter, Jessica Langford of Nahunta; 5 grandchildren, Rhett Chorba, Hunter Langford, Riley Langford, Brayden Chorba and Jade Turner; a sister and brother-in-law, Linda Powell (George) of Metter, GA; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Thursday evening (December 28, 2023) starting at 5:30pm at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

A memorial service will be held Thursday evening (December 28, 2023) at 6:30pm at the chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Mr. Teddy Jordan speaking.
