Ricky Lee Lane

Nahunta – Ricky Lee Lane, 39, of Nahunta passed away Monday (September 30, 2024) at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville after a brief illness.

Born in Brunswick, GA his parents are Shelia Arlene Miller Wainright and the late Joseph Leroy Lane, Sr..

Ricky was a painter for Demarus Johns’ Painting and loved fishing, doing research on different things and was a collector of all things.

Survivors include his son, Blake Lee Lane of Nahunta; 2 daughters, Cheyenne Hodge of Waycross and Zyah Shiland of Nahunta; his mother, Shelia Wainright (Mike Walker) of Nahunta; 2 brothers & a sister-in-law, Joseph Leroy “Junior” Lane, Jr. (Alisha) of Bachlott and Timothy “Road Hog” Lane of Nahunta; a sister & brother-in-law, Nikki O’Neal (Charlie) of Nahunta; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday afternoon (October 3, 2024) from 3pm-3:30pm at New Hope Cemetery.

A graveside service will be held Thursday afternoon (October 3, 2024) at 3:30pm at New Hope Cemetery with Rev. Randy Wainright officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Crews, Gavin Crews, Jonathan Crews, Dylan Johns, Stephen Blount and Dale Johns. Honorary pallbearers will be Demarus Johns’ Painting employees.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
