Penny Zundel Miller

Penny Zundel Miller, 80, of Hortense passed away Friday, December 26, 2025, at her residence after a short illness. She was born in Phoenix, AZ to the late Ermel Harding Zundel and Dorothy Onida Hutchison Zundel. Mrs. Miller lived in Arizona for over fifty years where she worked for Wells Fargo and AIG Broker Services for many years. After retirement, Mr. and Mrs. Miller moved to Hortense in 2017. She was a member of Twin Rivers Missionary Baptist Church and sang in the choir. Mrs. Miller always enjoyed fishing and especially spending time with family.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Hardy Zundel; four brothers-in-law, William Voight, Gary Kaiser, Calvin Miller, and Framan Miller.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Henry Miller, Jr. of Hortense; one son and daughter-in-law, Wesley and Stacey Miller of Nahunta; one daughter, Denise Miller of Hortense; five grandchildren, Tanner Stewart, Jason Stewart, Alyssa Miller, Emily Miller, and Cody Miller; four great-grandchildren, Paisleigh, Beau, Dakota, and Jason, Jr.; two sisters, Pamela Voigt of Scottsdale, AZ and Peggy Kaiser of Paradise Valley, AZ; three nieces, Tina, Tori, and Nikki; one nephew, Kevin; and other relatives.

Visitation will be held Wednesday morning, December 31, 2025, from 10 am until 11 am at Twin Rivers Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 11 am at Twin Rivers Baptist Church with Rev. Rusty Bryan officiating. Burial will follow in Hortense Cemetery.
