In Loving Memory of
Peggy Anne Harrison
October 9, 1953 – September 7, 2025
Peggy Anne Harrison, 71, of Hortense, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on September 7, 2025, after a courageous and grace-filled journey with stage IV cancer. Surrounded by love and the enduring presence of family and friends, Peggy transitioned from this life with the same faith, strength, and warmth that defined her every day on this earth.
Born on October 9, 1953, in Forsythe, Georgia, to Mary Berrie Bryson and Erwin Bryson, Peggy became a cherished wife, devoted mother, beloved grandmother, faithful sister, and treasured friend to many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Erwin Bryson; two brothers, John Bryson and David Bryson; and a sister, Pam Stern.
Peggy’s life was one of service and joy. Though she held a variety of jobs throughout the years, her true calling was people. Peggy gave everything she had to the task in front of her—and always with a smile. Her skills and abilities knew no bounds, and her work ethic was only matched by her compassion.
Peggy found joy in the simplest things: shopping for the perfect thing, baking for people as a way to say thank you, cooking a meal for someone in need, singing her favorite hymns, or tending to her home and yard with the same care she gave to her loved ones. She had a heart for helping and a gift for making everyone feel seen and special. She never met a stranger—only future friends—and created lasting relationships with nearly everyone she encountered. To know Peggy was to love her.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Terry Harrison of Hortense; her two devoted daughters and their husbands, Carrie Ghneim (George) of Raleigh, NC, and Cathy Paisley (Rob) of Knightdale, NC; and her precious grandchildren, Isadora Ghneim, Simon Ghneim, and Lucy Paisley, who brought her endless pride and joy. Peggy also leaves behind her loving siblings and their spouses: Robert Bryson (Ann), Tom Bryson (Stacey), and Dick Bryson (Sheila), all of Brunswick; Sharon Henderson (Glynn) of Hortense, Brenda Jones (Buddy) of Brunswick, and Becky McCullar of Jasper, AL. She also shared a special bond with Dolors Sitjes Capdevila, a cherished exchange student from Spain who became like a daughter to Peggy and her family. Peggy’s love also extended to countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of dear friends who will miss her deeply.
Peggy was a shining light—a woman of solid faith, fierce strength, and boundless love. Her presence left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Even in her most difficult days, she remained a beacon of hope and grace, inspiring others with her courage, her kindness, her gratitude and her unshakable spirit. She lived a life rich in love, service, and faith. Though her absence leaves a deep void, her legacy will live on in every person she uplifted, every relationship she nurtured, and every life she touched.
May she rest now in eternal peace, free from pain, surrounded by the boundless love she so freely gave.
