Pearline Straight

March 10, 1947 — August 29, 2021

Hortense – Pearline Turner Straight, 74, of Hortense passed away early Sunday morning (August 29, 2021) at Southeast Georgia Health System after a brief illness.
Born in Glenwood, GA her parents were Harvey Tillman and Thelma Williams Turner. She is also preceded in death by a daughter, Angela A. Johnson; and 4 brothers, Bobby Jean Turner, RT Turner, Wendell Turner and Elbert Turner.
Pearline was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed tending to her flowers, cooking but her main love was taking care of children.
Survivors include her husband, James “Jim” Straight of Hortense; 6 sons and daughters-in-law, John Watson (Myra), Gerald Robinson (Mary), Johnny Robinson, Justin Robinson (Kayla), Kory Marsh all of Hortense and Tony Robinson of Texas; 3 stepdaughters and their spouses, Angie Timberlake (Shane), Amy James (DJ) all of Claxton and Jamie Galipo of Brunswick; 14 grandchildren, Kayla (Josh), Matthew (Michalia), Lil John, Ashley, Johnny Lee, Lil Bit, Blake, Joel, Ethan, Destiny, Kiya, William, Steven and Bobby; 12 great grandchildren, Cody, Tabitha, Taylor, AJ, Levi, Mason, Patty, Ari, Aiden, Blake, Cameron, and Kaiden; 3 brothers, Irvin Turner of Brunswick, Wayne Turner and Jerry Turner both of Glenwood; 3 sisters, Ethel Clark of Albany, Earline Screws of Glenwood and Virginia Sutton Mt. Vernon; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
A graveside service will be held Sunday (September 26, 2021) at 10AM at Mama's Garden Cemetery with Bro. Mike Foreman officiating.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
