Paula Moore Lee, 70, of Hickox passed away Friday morning, December 19, 2025, at the Hospice House Satilla after a short illness.
Born in Nahunta her parents were Jasper and Grace Edwards Moore. Mrs. Lee lived here all of her life and worked as a Bookkeeper for Satilla Transport for twenty-three years and the Family Dollar for seventeen years. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Lee always enjoyed cooking, reading, working and talking to people, spending time on her back porch, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles Moore, Carlton Moore, Jimmy Moore, and Harry Moore; two sisters, Barbara Moore and Mollie Moore.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Glen Lee of Hickox; two children, Terry Lee (wife Melissa) of Hickox, and Lori Payne (David) of Hickox; four grandchildren, Jackson Lee (fiancé Annajo), Abbie Lee, Evan Payne, and Emersyn Payne all of Hickox; three sisters, Elsie Dubose of Jupiter, FL, Helen Crisp (Bert) of Ft. Valley, GA, and Lavonne Roberson (Earl) of Raybon; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Visitation will be held Sunday evening, December 21, 2025, from 6 pm until 8 pm at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
A funeral service will be held Monday afternoon, December 22, 2025, at 2 pm at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta with Rev. Randy Wainright officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Shane Moore, Jerry Moore, Stephen Aldridge, Brian Hiott, Paul Morgan, and John Lee.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
