Olan 'Slick' Leslie Lanier

Hortense- Olan “Slick” Leslie Lanier, 93 of Hortense, passed away Wednesday (February 19, 2020) at Memorial Satilla Health, in Waycross.

Born in Hortense, GA., his parents Homer Lanier and Emma Davison Lanier. He was also preceded in death by his sister Jewell “Uethal” Rohrer.

He worked many years as a boilermaker for the Local 26 and served in the United States Army and Air Force. He loved fishing, hunting, and telling stories.

Survivors include his two sons, Mike Wastler, of Lakeland, GA, and Charles Lanier, of Jesup, GA.; a daughter, LaRetta Franz, of Queens, NY.; Several grandchildren; special friends, Janine Lane, of Hortense, and Pat Davison, of Hortense; nephew, Rick Rohrer; and a niece, Deborah Rohrer, both of Illinois. Also several other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held Friday (February 21, 2020) at 10AM at Hortense Cemetery with Rev. Emory Wilson officiating.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
