Blackshear- Noah Wade Walker, Jr., 77 of Blackshear, passed away Tuesday (March 5, 2024) at Harborview Nursing Home in Blackshear following an extended illness.
Born in Hoboken, GA his parents were Noah Wade Walker, Sr. and Macie Walker Walker. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Frances Turner Walker; two sisters, Reba Walker and Betty Tiner; four brothers, David Walker, Ivey Walker, James “Buddy” Walker, and Charles Walker.
Noah worked many years for Varn Wood Products in Hoboken. He was a member of Hoboken Church of God and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and loved his family and grandchildren.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Reba Whitley (James), of Blackshear; three grandchildren, Dakota Whitley (Madison Dewitt), Madeline Whitley, and Daniel Whitley; a great grandchild, Willow Whitley; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Walker and Louise Walker, both of Blackshear. Also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday (March 7, 2024) from 6PM-8PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
Funeral Services will be held Friday (March 8, 2024) at 11AM at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Sharpe officiating.
Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Austin Beasley, Ricky Walker, Rick Walker, Kenneth Turner, Lemuel Corbitt and Weldon Lane.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
