Mollie Virginia Mishoe

August 28, 1940 — July 5, 2020

Nahunta – Mollie Virginia Higginbotham Mishoe, 79, of Nahunta passed away Sunday afternoon (July 5, 2020) at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick after a brief illness.

Born in Kingsland, GA her parents were James Harold Higginbotham and RosaLee Howell Higginbotham. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Wilson “Bill” Lee Mishoe, Sr.; an infant daughter, Emily Lynn Mishoe; and 2 brothers, Johnny Higginbotham and James Higginbotham.

Mollie was a homemaker and attended Crossroad Holy Church of God. She loved her grandchildren and spending time with family. Mollie enjoyed quilting, racing, mud bogging and flowers.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Debra & John Downs of Hinesville; 4 sons and daughters-in-law, Wilson L. & Janet Mishoe, Jr. of Jacksonville, Anthony & Lisa Mishoe of Nahunta, Timothy & Carol Mishoe of Waynesville and Mike & Tara Mishoe of Nahunta; 12 grandchildren, Ronnie Gallups (Rebecka), Shane Carter (Ashley), William Mishoe, Jeremy Mishoe (Tiffeny), Brad Brooker, Nicole Sorrenti, Anthony “T” Mishoe, Timothy Mishoe, Jr., Christopher Mishoe (Sarah), Mandy Johnson (Jack), John “Tadpole” Mishoe (Angel Smith), and Sarah O’Banion (Terry); 19 great grandchildren; a sister, Frances & Fred King of Jacksonville; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Due to the COVID-19, the family would like to ask all to please follow the rules for social distancing at the service. Also, anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the services the Family would like for you to know they understand and covet your prayers.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Wednesday (July 8, 2020) starting at 10AM at Smyrna Cemetery.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday morning (July 8, 2020) at 11AM at Smyrna Cemetery with Pastor Jeptha Newberry and Mr. John Downs officiating.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Ronnie Gallups, Shane Carter, William Mishoe, Jeremy Mishoe, Brad Brooker, Anthony “T” Mishoe, Timothy Mishoe, Jr., Christopher Mishoe and John “Tadpole” Mishoe.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
