Missouri "Ann" Cardena

Twin Rivers – Missouri “Ann” Cardena, 71, of Twin Rivers community passed away early Sunday morning (October 8, 2023) at her residence after an extended illness.

Born in Hoboken, GA her parents were Eugene Hale and Eva Lee Hale. She is also preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Landrum; and her second husband, Minh Nguyen.

Ann was a homemaker and a member of Nahunta Church of God. She loved serving people, spending time with her family, working in food bank and going to church. Ann also loved gardening, reading and the beach.

Survivors include her husband, Julian Cardena of Twin Rivers; 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Chris Nguyen (Casey) of Brunswick and Steve Landrum of Jacksonville,FL; a daughter and son-in-law, Elena Sellers (Cliff) of Hoboken;  7 grandchildren, Mollie Strickland (Ezra), Christopher Thomas (Haylee), Andy Landrum (Kelsey), Jessica Landrum, Leigh Ann Landrum, Luke Nguyen and Anna Nguyen; 6 great grandchildren, Kaylee Thomas, Christopher Thomas, Wyatt Strickland, Ezrie Strickland, Briar Landrum and Asher Landrum; a brother and sister-in-law, Paul Hale (Melissa) of Cordell; 3 sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean Craven (Jimmy) of Waycross, Velma Hernandez (George) of Valdosta and Nina Blount (Toby) of Atkinson; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening (October 10, 2023) from 6pm-8pm at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday morning (October 11, 2023) at 11am at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Florey officiating. Burial will follow in High Bluff Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Taylor, Hunter Kennison, Houston Kennison, Jordon Smith, Paul Hale, Jr. and Dustin Willis.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
