Mildred Hauptli Waymire

Nahunta – Mildred Hauptli Waymire, 101 of Nahunta, passed away Sunday (January 7, 2024) at Bayview Nursing Home in Nahunta following an extended illness.

Born in Franceville, IN. her father was Rudolph Hauptli. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Waymire.

Mildred worked for Thayer Ribbon Factory where they made bows. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church. She enjoyed doing word search books and crossword puzzles. She also loved doing the adult coloring books and writing letters.

Survivors include 1 son and daughter-in-law, Stephen Waymire (Rosita) of Nahunta; 2 grandchildren, Rebecca Knight (Jonathan) and Paul Dowling; 1 great grandchild, Cara Ann Walles (Jordan); also other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday (January 13, 2024) from 10-11AM at Frye Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday (January 13, 2024) at 11AM at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Wainright officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
