Midge Broughton Kinchen

Brunswick- Midge Broughton Kinchen, 82 of Brunswick, passed away Tuesday (July 3, 2018) at her residence following an extended illness.

Born in Pineville, KY., her parents were Floyd Broughton and Callie Taylor Broughton, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe C. Kinchen; her brother, Tommy Broughton; and her sister, Margaret Howard.

Midge was of the Lutheran Faith and worked many years as a bookkeeper for Brad’s Construction Company. She enjoyed working in the yard, genealogy, riding and looking at cemeteries, and spending time with her family and grandkids.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Brad Kinchen (Kelli), of Brunswick; her daughter, Tonya Kinchen, of Waynesville; 5 grandchildren, Tristen Kinchen, Stephen Kinchen, Renna Wells, John Phillip Herndon, Jr., and Jennifer Shaw (Nick).; her half brother, Paul Taylor, of Brantley County; and her sister, Ann Steele, of Brunswick.

A graveside service will be held Friday (July 6, 2018) at 11AM at Mt. Olive Cemetery with Pastor Mike Murray officiating.

Pallbearers will be Brad Kinchen, Tristen Kinchen, Stephen Kinchen, Kirk Broughton, Mark Tipton, and Jack McMenamin.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
