Michael Johns

Nahunta-Michael Johns, Sr., 57 of Nahunta passed away Saturday morning (July 14, 2018) at his residence after an extended illness.

Born in Waycross, GA his parents were Norman Johns and Bernice Herndon Johns. He was also preceded by 4-sisters, Ruth Harrison, Inez Griffin, Jeanette O'Neal and Betty Crews.

Michael was self-employed with Michael John’s Construction Co. Michael loved building houses.

Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Tammy Crews Johns of Nahunta; 2 sons and a daughter-law,Michael Johns, Jr., of Nichols, GA and Leston Jacobs (Jamie) of Nahunta;a stepson, Travis Edward Sweat, of Nahunta; two daughters, Shana Marie Johns, of Nichols, GA; Kristie Michelle Johns Schyuler, of Nahunta; 8 grandchildren; Preston Corley, Brenton Corley, Makayla Johns, Leston Jacobs, Lillie Jacobs,Kimberley Jacobs, Dakota Paige Barnes, and Jacob Brian Schuyler; 3 half brothers, Timothy McQuaig of Texas, Sean Sullivan, of Louisiana, and Chad Sullivan, also of Louisiana; his sister, Shana R. Sullivan (Jason), of Louisianna.

Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday (July 17, 2018) at 7PM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Florey officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service starting at 6 PM at the funeral home.
