Melissa “Lisa” Marie Hand

Hortense – Melissa “Lisa” Marie Hand, 44, of Hortense passed away Saturday morning (June 13, 2020) in Hortense after a brief illness.

Born in Waycross, GA her parents are Bayless Marie Travis Lyons and the late Melvin Hand. She is also preceded in death by her step father, Martin Lyon, Jr.

Lisa was a homemaker and loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. She also enjoyed swimming and going to Busch Gardens with her family.

Survivors include her daughter, Victoria Eason (Christopher Spiecher) of Hortense; 4 grandchildren, Melvin Eason, Logan Eason, Goldie Eason and Landon Eason; her mother, Marie Lyons of Hortense; 4 brothers, Samuel Lyons, Lamar Lyons, Michael Hand all of Hortense and Tommy Hand of Kingsland; a sister, Patricia Manning of Hortense; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Due to the COVID-19, the family would like to ask all to please follow the rules for social distancing at the service. Also, anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the services the Family would like for you to know they understand and covet your prayers.

A graveside service will be held Thursday afternoon (June 18, 2020) at 2PM at Lyons Cemetery with Rev. Marty Anderson officiating.

Pallbearers will be Lamar Lyons, Michael Hand, Christopher Spiecher, Justin Thornton, Rodger Hand, Curtis Drury and Justin Hilliard.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
