Nahunta – Mary “Linda” Waldrep-Hamilton, 71, of Nahunta passed away early Saturday morning (July 25, 2020) at her residence after an extended illness.
Born in Billingsley, AL her parents were Milfred Bearden and Bernice Cooper Bearden. She is also preceded in death by her first husband, Morris “Ray” Blackwood; and a son, Larry Blackwood.
Linda was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed playing Bingo.
Survivors include her husband of 20 yrs, Michael Hamilton of Nahunta; 3 children, Sheila Blackwood of Nahunta and Billy Blackwood (Joyce) and James Blackwood of Michigan; 10 grandchildren, Heather Fast, Erica Songer, Kala Stalvey-Whitt, Bridget Stalvey, Morrisa Stalvey, Jody Samples, Daniel Blackwood, Junior Blackwood, Myia Conner and Alaina Blackwood; 9 great grandchildren, Jayden Fast, Hunter Songer, Daemon Songer, Gelly Conner, Lucas Conner, AJ Conner, Luke Samples, Wyatt Samples, McKaley Samples, and 2 on the way; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe & Carol Bearden and Walt & Marge Bearden all of Florida; 2 sisters, Margaret Douglas of Nahunta and Patricia Gerhard of Alabama; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
No services will be held at this time.
