Mary Earline Dowling, 80 yrs. old of Waynesville, Ga. went home peacefully to be with her Lord & Savior on July 19th surrounded by her many loved ones.
Earline was known for many things but mostly for her fierce love for her family. She loved hard and true. Her family was her heart & soul, loving each one in her own way, making every one of us feel like she loved us most. Plain & simple we ALL were her favorites. Called by many names—Grannie, Grannie Lene, Mema, & Grandma—Earline was simply the very best when it came to Grandparenting! She once said when asked what dreams did she have, all she ever wanted was to be a wife, mother & grandmother. And she was!
Earline was a God fearing & God loving, faithful member of Monticello Ridge The Church of God @ Waynesville, Ga. for 29 years. Pouring all she had into the Church, from sewing & crafting for missions to cooking & serving dinners for fund raisers, & never failing to help with any extra needs, especially letting all the grands sit on her pew with her lap full too! This will be greatly missed every Sunday. But for all Earline did in life, I would say the greatest thing she taught was: "Love the Lord, Go to Church, Forgive Quickly, & Keep Family Strong." Earline (Mama) will be missed beyond measure.
She was preceded in death by her father: William Earl Morgan, mother: Elsie Mae Johnson Morgan, son: James C. Davis III, granddaughter: Brandi Earline Flewellyn, four brothers: James Morgan, Leon Morgan, Douglas Morgan, Robert Morgan
She is survived by five children: Sonia Willis, Scot Davis (Ashlee), Charline Barker, Regina Miller (Richard), David Dowling (April); 18 grandchildren, 33 great-grands, 3 Bonus grands, 4 Bonus Great-Grands; one sister: Marie Holder; two sisters-in-law: Jean Morgan and Claudine Morgan; a multitude of nieces, nephews, & cousins whom she loved dearly!
Visitation will be held Thursday morning, July 23, 2026 at 10 am at Monticello Ridge The Church of God in Waynesville.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 11:00 am at Monticello Ridge The Church of God in Waynesville with Bro. Chris Clarkston officiating. Burial will follow in Morgan Cemetery.
