Hortense- Mark Benjamin Cook, 52 of Hortense, passed away Saturday (October 19, 2024) at his residence.

Born in Brunswick, GA., his parents were William Conn Cook and Lettie Ann Ellis Cook. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents and a brother, Michael Cook.

Mark worked in Auto Parts Sales and enjoyed swimming in the pond, fishing, shooting his gun, welding, dune buggies, and loved rock music. He also enjoyed listening to rock music, painting automotives, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Heather Cummins Cook; daughter, Georgia Ann Cook both of Hortense; uncles, Bud Ellis also of Hortense; Donnie Cook of Brunswick; aunt, Lawana Smith of Lyons, GA.; nieces and nephews, Lucy Duncan, April Crews (Edward); many great nieces and nephews. Also several cousins, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday (October 23, 2024) from 10AM-11AM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday (October 23, 3024) at 11AM at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Wainright officiating.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
