Marilyn Lavaye Herrin

July 27, 1944 — March 6, 2021

Nahunta-Marilyn Lavaye Herrin, 76, of Nahunta passed away at her residence early Saturday morning after a brief illness.

Marilyn was born on July 27, 1944 to the late Cecil Van Buren Herrin and Vera Louvade Robinson Herrin. Her paternal grandparents were William Henry and Mamie Elizabeth Highsmith Herrin and her maternal grandparents were Francis Donald “Frank” and Nora Belle Lewis Robinson.

She was a graduate of Nahunta High School Class of 1963 and graduated from Waycross College. She worked for several film distributors including United Artists. Marilyn retired from the State of Florida. and was a member of Raybon Advent Christian Church, and she loved working in her flower garden.

Survived by her brother, Jerry Herrin, of Nahunta and numerous other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon (Mar. 8,2021) at 2 PM from the Raybon Advent Christian Church with Rev. Hilton Morgan officiating.

Visitation will be held at the church 1 hour prior to service.

Interment will follow in Rob Lewis Cemetery.

Due to the COVID-19, we would like to ask all to please follow the rules for social distancing and face mask, are highly recommended at the service. Also, anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the services the family would like for you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
