Margie Faye Johns Crews

Winokur – Margie Faye Johns Crews, 87, of Winokur passed away Sunday (November 30, 2025) at her residence after an extended illness.

Born in Bachlott, GA her parents were George Martin Johns and Flora Leoa Rowell Johns. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Mack Crews; and 2 sisters, Catherine Middleton and Annie Ruth Johns.

Margie was a master cosmetologist and a member of Winokur Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Nahunta High School’s class of 1956. Margie loved working in her garden, going hunting and fishing and tending to her cows.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Marty Crews (Sheila) of Winokur; 2 grandchildren, Graci Caraline Williams and Matti Isabelle Williams; and several other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening ( December 4, 2025) from 5pm – 7pm at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

A funeral service will be held Friday morning (December 5, 2025) at 10am with Rev. Randy Wainright, Rev. Gerald Johns and Rev. Jonathan Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Olin Thrift, Johnny Forsythe, Michael Jones, George Middleton, Brody Middleton and Ed Lowther. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Thrift, Ronnie Crews and the Nahunta High School Class of 1956.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
