Marcus Carter

November 19, 1959 — April 8, 2023

Nahunta – Marcus Daniel Carter, 63, of Nahunta passed away Saturday evening (April 8, 2023) at his residence after an extended illness.

Born in Brunswick, GA his parents were David Daniel Carter, Sr. and Beverly Jean Clark Carter. He is also preceded in death by a sister, Theresa Jean Clyde; and 2 nephews, Daniel Carter and Justin Carter.

Marcus was a tree surgeon and a certified First Responder. He was a member of Parkway Church of God and loved fishing, gardening, and cutting trees with his chain saw.

Survivors include his 3 brothers and sisters-in-law, David Carter, Jr. (Michelle) of Nahunta, John Wesley Carter (Mary) and Edward Carter (Kelly) all of Brunswick; his dog, Max; a niece, Krystalin Franklin (Roy) of Brantley; 3 nephews, Jeffery Herndon, John Wesley Carter, Jr. and James Cox (Nicki) all of Waynesville; and also several other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday morning (April 15, 2023) from 10:30am-11am at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

A memorial service will be held Saturday morning (April 15, 2023) at 11am at the chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Harper and Bro. Hugh Hodge.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
