Loretta Miles Stone

Waynesville – Loretta Miles Stone, 87, of Waynesville passed away Thursday morning (April 7, 2022) at Memorial Satilla Health after a brief illness.
Born in Baxley, GA her parents were Valeria Miles and Clyo Harrison Miles. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Stone; and her son, Michael Stone.
Mrs. Loretta was a homemaker and a member of Waynesville Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marcia & David Burgess of Waynesville; 4 grandchildren, Jenny Bain (Tony) of Miss, Nat Stone (April) of Waynesville, Alicia Burgess of Waynesville and Jacob Burgess (Jenna) of Waynesville; 10 Great Grandchildren; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Saturday afternoon (April 9, 2022) starting at 2PM at Frye Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held Saturday afternoon (April 9, 2022) at 3pm at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Carr officiating. Burial will follow in Highsmith Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Burgess, Hayden Wilson, Nat Stone, Dylan Stone, Shawn Justice and Mark Stone.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
