Lonnie Douglas, 53, of Nahunta, passed away early Sunday morning (May 31,2020) at his residence following a short illness.

Born in Bartow, FL. his parents are the late Virgil Douglas and Margaret “Bearden” Douglas of Nahunta, GA.

Lonnie was a heavy equipment operator for T.E. Consolidated and attended the Whosoever Baptist Church. He loved putting puzzles together, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 28 yrs., Tammy Iler Douglas of Nahunta, 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Lonnie and Paige Douglas, Shawn and Becca Douglas both of Raybon, and Shane and Kaycee Douglas, of Waycross. 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Shalonda and Virgil Embery, of Brunswick, and Margaret and Eddie Middleton of Raybon, 19 grandchildren; Landon Douglas, Laison Douglas, Abel Douglas, Jonathan Douglas, Jayden Douglas, Loretta Douglas, Jake Douglas, Lindesey Cooner, Kellie Baker, Kayla Embery, Logan Embery,Bailey Embery, Macee Middleton, Ella Middleton, Paislee Middleton, Easton Douglas, Weston Douglas, And 2 grandchildren on the way. His mother Margaret “Bearden” Douglas, of Nahunta, a sister and brother-in-law; Tanya Douglas Causey (Colin) of Nahunta; 3 Sisters-in-law and 4 brothers-in-law.

Also, several nieces, nephews, and other relatives, and a host of friends.

No services will be held at this time.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
