Linda Kelly

Today, October 14th, 2026 Mrs. Ruthann "Linda" Kelly won her final battle here on earth and Today, we celebrate and would like to announce she has officially gone home to spend eternity with Jesus! She can begin her eternal life in Heaven while her legacy & testimonies carry on through her Friends and family.

Early in life, Mrs. Linda was forced into an early retirement when she was diagnosed w Leukemia. 36 yrs and she never let it break her spirit... As a retired waitress & taxidermist she & her husband made many life long friends all over the world.

She was a faithful Christian, Wife, & Mother. She never met a stranger no matter where she was, she'd welcome you w a big smile & open arms for a big ole hug. She was a Devoted Faithful Christian who was Baptized in 1978 at Waynesville Missionary Baptist Church. She thoroughly enjoyed helping her Church family and friends as they worked together weekly feeding & clothing our community. She also enjoyed trail riding her horses w friends, softball games, team pennings & the fun "horse" shows for the children.

In her spare time you'd find helping out at her Church Pantry or working hard in her yard, flower beds... that's only after she mowed the lawn repeatedly.

Mrs. Linda Kelly was proceeded at death by her Husband of 56 yrs the late Mr. Jim Kelly, her parents Mary & David Massey, Sister Miriam Giodaro, Brothers Rubin & Bill Massey, Niece Patti Fitzgerald.

Mrs. Linda is survived by her 3 daughters... Cathy & Susie Kelly of Waynesville... and Julie (Mike) Scott of Waynesville....2 Grandchildren Mikey (Taylour) Rhoden of Waynesville, Destiny (Zane) Gulley of Brunswick, 1 Great Granddaughter (Everleigh Kelly), 3 Great-Grand Sons(Ryker & Myles Rhoden, Tate Gulley), 3 Nephews (Timmy Fitzgerald, Larry Quinn, Brian (Dawn) Quinn.)

A memorial Service will be held Friday, October 16, 2026 at 6pm at Waynesville Missionary Baptist Church with Rev Trey Keene and Rev. Randy Wainright officiating. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Mikey Rhoden, Timmy Fitzgerald, Brian Quinn, Larry Quinn, Anthony Manibusan, Greg Louge and Mark Godfrey.

The family will be having a memorial service at Waynesville Missionary Baptist Church followed by a dinner for family & friends. The family has asked that you dress casually. Also, it would be greatly appreciated if you would like to share your memories of her at the services.

The family would like to thank all medical staff at GA Hospice Care of Waycross who've made her final transition over to her eternal life with Jesus! A Special Thank You to Mrs. Kristen Finken & Mrs. Jessica O'Berry for going above and beyond the call of duty! May God Continue to Bless You Ladies! We Love Y'all!
