Waycross – Linda Marie Smith Broestler, 68, of Waycross passed away Sunday morning (November 23, 2025) at Memorial Satilla Health after an extended illness.
Born in Jacksonville, FL her mother was Martha Ann Durden Smith. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas C. Broestler; and 4 brothers, Kenneth Smith, Charles Smith, Joseph Smith and Thomas Smith.
Linda lived in Washinton State for many years and in Brunswick for over 20 years. Her and her husband called Waycross their home for over 25 years. Linda was a homemaker but also enjoyed being on the road with her husband who was a truck driver for many years. She loved her dogs, cooking and crocheting.
Survivors include her special friend, Russell Walter of Manor; a son & daughter-in-law, Steven Revell (Lisa) of Hazlehurst; a daughter, Melissa Howard (Timothy Sangrey) of Waycross; 5 grandchildren, Karleigh Runyon (Johnny), Jordan Revell (Taylor), Reannen Hall, Kailie Dominy (Caleb), and Shauna Rodriquez (Jayson); 8 great grandchildren, Jackson, Aubrey, Keagan, Benjamin, Luna, Harper, Roman and Trey; a brother and sister-in-law, James K. Smith, Jr. (Cathy) of Waynesville;3 sisters and brothers-in-law, PaTricia Cardwell (Bob) of Waycross, Mary Ann Fentress of Columbia, SC, and Bernice Reynolds (Clyde) of New Foundland, Canada; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday (December 13, 2025) at 2pm at Altamaha Park in Everett City.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
