Leroy 'Lee' Allen Marshall

Nahunta – Leroy Allen “Lee” Marshall, 79, of Nahunta passed away early Friday morning (November 3, 2017) at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick after an extended illness.

Born in Luthersburg, PA his parents were Blair Marshall and Amy Muth Marshall. He is also preceded in death by 2 daughters, Kerri Lisa Marshall and Laurie Suzanne Marshall Angell; a brother, Gordan Marshall; and a sister, Beverly Marshall.

Lee served in the United States Army and the United States Navy and was a business manager. He was of the Baptist faith and loved golfing, reading, watching football and military history, and doing puzzles.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Denty Marshall of Nahunta; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff & Marcean Marshall of Athens, Scott Marshall & fiancé Cristy Lynch of Buford, and David & Jodi Harris of Corunna, IN; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Arlene Brown and Mary & William C. “Billy” Crews all of Nahunta; 10 grandchildren and their spouses, Jenny Spivey (Candler), Brenden Marshall, Austin Harris, Darien Harris, Evie Marie Harris, Justin Brown, Jordan Brown, Erik Crews (Ashley), Grant Crews (Katie), and Alex Angell; 4 great grandchildren, Oliver Spivey, Max Spivey, Erika Faith Crews, and Gunner Lee Crews; 2 brothers and a sister-in-law, Ralph & Suzuko Marshall of Tampa, FL and Dale & Loraine Marshall of Connecticut; and also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday afternoon (November 7, 2017) at 2pm at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Mr. Jeff Marshall, Scott Marshall, Rev. Hilton Morgan and Mr. Wiley Crews officiating.

The family will be receiving friends at Billy & Mary Crews’ residence, 898 Buffalo Creek Rd Nahunta, GA 31553.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
