Hoboken – Kymer Mathie Rose, 66, of Hoboken passed away early Tuesday morning (March 19, 2024) at her residence after an extended illness.
Born in Jesup, GA her parents are Don E. Mathie of Hoboken and the late Dawshene Highsmith Mathis. She is also preceded in death by a brother, Kevin Mathie; and a sister, Karla Mathie.
Kymer was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family, taking care of animals and gardening.
Survivors include her husband, Mike Strickland of Hoboken; a son, Aaron Rose of Hoboken; a daughter, Yolanda Rose of Harrisonburg, VA; 3 grandchildren; father, Don Mathie of Hoboken; 3 brothers and sisters-in-law, Kleve Mathie (Andy) and Kerry Mathie (Martha) all of Nahunta, Kenny Johns (Cheryl), of Hoboken; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Russell Strickland (Brenda) of Alma; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening (March 21, 2024) from 6pm – 8pm at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
A funeral service will be held Friday morning (March 22, 2024) at 11am at the chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Bro. David Herrin officiating.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
