Hortense- Kylie Sierra Burgess, 14 of Hortense, passed away early Sunday morning (May 12, 2019) from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born in Waycross, GA her parents are Shellie Elaine Stevenson, of Waycross and the late Frank D. Burgess. She was also preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Jack W. Stevenson.

Kylie was an honor student at Brantley County Middle School, a reporter for HOSA and a member of Remnant Church in Waycross. She loved music, dancing, social media, cheerleading, and doing make-up. Kylie loved spending time with her friends and was loved by everyone who knew her.

Survivors include her mother, Shellie Stevenson, of Waycross; 2 sisters, Lillian Grace Parse, of Hoboken, and Alizay Burgess, of Brunswick; her brother, Gavin Burgess, of Hawaii; and her maternal grandmother, Dianne Stevenson. Also several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday (May 16, 2019) from 3PM-4PM at Remnant Church of Waycross.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday (May 16, 2019) at 4PM at Remnant Church of Waycross with Pastor Caleb Lancaster and Dustin Hodges officiating.

Burial will follow in Hortense Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chad Hester, Jason Dixon, Garrett Crow, Tim King, Dustin Ray, and Max Stieve.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brantley County Middle School HOSA Officers.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
